Forty-three budding golfers enjoyed a day to remember as the Northern Junior Golf Tour (NJGT) visited Richmond Golf Club on Saturday, 29th June.

The NJGT, which is celebrating its 10th birthday this year, is a competition aimed at young golfers aged 6-14 years old with or without a handicap.

There are 5 qualifying events within each County (Cumbria, Durham, Northumberland and North Yorkshire) with Richmond GC staging the second of the Yorkshire event.

Five categories of golfers took part in the Richmond events with the following winners:

Category 1 Winner – Jack Farrel
Category 2 Winner – Robbie Lee
Category 3 Winner – Oliver Norman
Category 4 Winner – Izabella Knowles
Category 5 Winner – Izzy Stokes

Each event is played over 9 holes and the tour culminates in a Regional Final which will take place at Alnmouth Golf Club (Foxton Hall) on Sunday 1st September 2019.
