Richmond (Yorks) Golf Club has received “highly commendable” status as part of the 2020 Golf Environment Awards.

The Golf Environment Awards, run by STRI Group in conjunction with the R&A, recognises, rewards and promotes individuals and golf clubs for the time and focus they have given into environmentally sustainable management projects.

Richmond’s efforts in ongoing environmental projects was recognised with the Golf Club being highly commended during the awards.

The Richmond Golf Club team’s ecological and environmental projects have been led by Head Greenkeeper Anthony McGeough.

Warrington Golf Club picked up the Environmental Golf Course of the Year 2020 award after showing “innovation and solution to reduce damaging environmental practices”.
