Richmond GC awarded Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs grant

Richmond (Yorks) Golf Club has been awarded a £500 grant from the Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs to help promote the new Lifestyle Membership initiative.

The grant will allow Richmond GC to supplement the existing advertising and marketing being undertaken, by creating additional resources to target new golfers.

The YUGC grant can only be used on marketing Lifestyle Membership to golfers, with the focus being on getting more individuals to try the sport and get involved in golf.

The Lifestyle Membership was launched in late April and is a flexible points based membership for new members wanting to join a Golf Club but who are time, work, family or financially constrained.

The Lifestyle Membership option allows members to enter Club Competitions and have an official CONGU handicap, something many other similar initiatives don’t include.

A subscription fee of just £300 gives a Lifestyle Member 100 points to use during the week or at weekends.

Full details on the membership and how the points system works, can be found here. Alternatively, call 01748 823231 or email secretary@richmondyorksgolfclub.co.uk for more details.
