On Monday 25th October, Penny Holroyd, Lady Captain of Richmond (Yorks) GC also became Captain of the Yorkshire Veteran Ladies Golf Association.

It an honour for both Penny and for Richmond Golf Club too.

The YVLGA has 1788 members from 114 clubs around the county and hosts around 10 or 11 competitions a year.

It also provides the players who represent Yorkshire in The Richardson Trophy each year.

The Richardson Trophy an annual competition between the lowest handicap players of Yorkshire, Cheshire, Cumbria, Durham, Lancashire and Northumberland.

Indeed, the matches between Yorkshire and Durham and Northumberland will be held at Richmond in June 2022
