The question has been raised about whether Richmond Golf Club should consider applying a joining fee to new members, and if so, at what level that fee should be set.

A join up fee is not an uncommon practice and can be used to raise funds in these difficult times. For example Catterick Golf club has a join up fee of circa £70 which, we understand, is also applicable to members who are late with their subscriptions.

However, the Board feel that application of a join up fee would discourage new members from joining our Club and therefore have decided to not pursue such a proposal.

There will be no joining fees at RGC.
