Course Update: Fourballs to return on June 1st
Effective Monday 1st June, Richmond Golf Club will be open for up to 4 ball groups following the latest easing of CV restrictions. Since there will be more golfers on the tees and greens, strict social distancing of 2m must be maintained at all times.
The BRS system for the next week already has many two ball bookings which will remain in place but will be opened to allow two extra players to book themselves in.
As of next weekend, BRS will show open 4 ball availability. Many members have enjoyed the faster 2 ball format so as per good golf etiquette, please call faster groups through.
Please note that all other distancing arrangements that the Club has adopted remain in place both on and off the course and the Board would like to stress that hand washing or sanitisation is mandatory before commencing your round.
Separately, the fact that BRS has been opening at midnight has encouraged members to lose sleep as they stay up late to book a tee time. To improve this, BRS we will open at 9pm for 7 day advance member bookings.
Effective Sunday 7th June we will also adjust the tee time slots for Sunday play. They will be as follows:
8.00 – 9.10am: 4 balls Gents off both 1st and 10th
11.30 – 12.00am: Ladies 3 balls of 1st and 10th
12.10 – 12.40pm: 4 ball Gents off 1st and 10th
3pm onwards: bookings will be available to visitors
Finally, the Board has decided to keep the patio area by the 18th green closed. Opening it would encourage group gatherings which is against the distancing intent and would require constant disinfection of patio seating which is impractical.
