Course Closure

The Board of RGC has closed the golf course with immediate effect, following the announcement of more stringent measures to limit the spread of COVID-19, made by the Prime Minister on 23rd March 2020.

This was followed by a directive from England Golf that all Golf Clubs must close until further notice.

No member or visitor should come to the Golf Club, attempt play or use any of the facilities during this time.

The health, safety and well-being of our staff and members is our key priority and the Board will ensure that all financial support for employees is secured.

In addition we are looking at all options available from the Government to ensure business’s financial survival during this period of uncertainty.

You will be of course be very concerned about the future of Club as a result of the Coronavirus crisis as the closure of the clubhouse and the course for an unknown period of time greatly reduces our income and therefore the cash we have to pay our bills.

For those members with subscriptions due on 1st April, we would ask you to renew as soon as possible so that we can cover the expenses that we still have to pay.

Richmond Golf Club is 128 years old and we are determined, with your support, to get through this current crisis and come back stronger.

Take care and look after yourselves and those close to you.
