Richmond (Yorks) Golf club was the venue for yet another highly successful charity event, this time in the form of a Christmas Fayre, held on Thursday 25th November.

Ash Green and Mike Henson won the Winter Open on Saturday, December 4.

Richmond (Yorks) Golf Club is delighted to announce that Mark Robson, PGA has joined as the new Teaching Professional.

Thanks to the 92 players played in our first Winter Open and the greenstaff for keeping our course in such an excellent condition.

A Race Night will take place at Richmond (Yorks) Golf Club on Friday 12th November 2021 with all welcome to attend.

On Monday 25th October, Penny Holroyd, Lady Captain of Richmond (Yorks) GC also became Captain of the Yorkshire Veteran Ladies Golf Association.

The 64th Annual Dinner and Prize Presentation of the Teesside & District Union of Golf Clubs took place on Friday 22nd October, following cancellation of the 2020 event due to Covid.

The event, held at the Sporting Lodge Inn, Middlesbrough, was attended by 120 golfers from across the region.

John Simpson has served as the President of the Union for two years during a time when the pandemic resulted in some of the fixtures being cancelled.

Nevertheless, John, a member of Richmond Golf Club for 35 years and Captain in 2013 said: “It has been a privilege to serve as President of the Union during turbulent times caused by Covid, but once again there has been some tremendous golf played and it gives me great pleasure to present the prizes this evening.”

Richmond (Yorks) Golf Club was the venue for a highly successful charity fashion show on Monday 11th October.

124 players enjoyed the Autumn Open played in perfect weather and the course was in excellent condition.

Thanks to the volunteers for making the event run smoothly, the bar and kitchen staff who were on duty all day as well as the greenstaff who are on duty every day.

Gents captain Martin Catt has represented the Golf Club in the Richmond 950 celebrations, taking part in a walk from Castle Bolton to Richmond Castle on September 25.

On a gloriously sunny afternoon 42 people took on the challenge of the Cross Country Competition in support of my charity (Rufus Wood – a community woodland being created as part of the 950 celebrations).

Dion Wood and Vicky Johnson have been crowned 2021 champion golfers at Richmond Golf Club after winning the Club Championships.

Graeme Storm hosted the second Graeme Storm Golf Academy Pro’s Day at Richmond Golf Club on Sunday, August 22.

Vicky Johnson was crowned Ladies Champion golfer for 2021 on Saturday, August 21 after winning by a shot on a rain-hit day at Richmond Golf Club.

140 players enjoyed our excellent course on Tuesday 17th August on the second day of the Dales Festival and congratulations to the winners.

The annual Andrew Jackson Golf Day took place at Richmond Golf Club on Friday, July 16 with Eddie Humphries’ team winning the prize.
