The England Golf Awards aim to reward those individuals, clubs or counties who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make an outstanding contribution to the game of golf.

We are seeking to recruit a PGA Head Professional to take personal responsibility for the professional delivery and development of all aspects of the golf operations and to ensure that member and guest expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

In addition, it will include organising and coaching groups and individuals, stocking and running a profitable club shop & the provision of a club repair and custom fit service.

The job holder will handle some of the administration of the golf club, organisation of competitions, corporate days and pro-ams and liaising with greenkeeping staff in the upkeep, maintenance and development of the course.

It will include a proactive role in the relationship management of the club to attract new members and retain the existing ones.

Dependent upon the applicant, alternative options are available including coaching only.

The Finklepickers will be performing a 50’s and 60’s Rock and Roll, Country and Blues music night at Richmond GC on Saturday 23rd April.

Richmond GC will be staging a Fashion Show on Monday, April 4th, 2022 in aid of Butterwick Hospice Care.

The Scalextric Night planned for Friday, March 18, has been postponed. We will try and rearrange for a date later in the year.

The final Winter Open took place on Saturday, February 26, with Alan Sobbart & Martin Cummings from Crook winning with a score of 46 points.

The annual ‘drive in’ took place at Richmond (Yorks) Golf Club on Sunday 2nd January, a tradition to launch the new golfing year, watched by a cheering crowd of members.

Richmond (Yorks) Golf club was the venue for yet another highly successful charity event, this time in the form of a Christmas Fayre, held on Thursday 25th November.

Ash Green and Mike Henson won the Winter Open on Saturday, December 4.

Richmond (Yorks) Golf Club is delighted to announce that Mark Robson, PGA has joined as the new Teaching Professional.

Thanks to the 92 players played in our first Winter Open and the greenstaff for keeping our course in such an excellent condition.

A Race Night will take place at Richmond (Yorks) Golf Club on Friday 12th November 2021 with all welcome to attend.

On Monday 25th October, Penny Holroyd, Lady Captain of Richmond (Yorks) GC also became Captain of the Yorkshire Veteran Ladies Golf Association.
