Captains Enjoy Their Special Golfing Days

Richmond Golf Club was basked in sunshine for the annual celebration for both the Lady Captain and Gents Captain on 25th & 26th June, respectively.

Joan Paterson, this year’s Lady Captain at Richmond, chose the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee as her theme and over 30 lady members did her proud with many dressing up in ‘regal splendour’.

Joan had a great day and thanked all the ladies for participating. The event raised £236.00 which will be shared by Joan’s chosen charities of The Butterwick Hospice and the Friends of Garget Walker House, Richmond.

The results from the golf on the day:

Div 1

1st: Claire Bateman 48 points
2nd: Ruth Lightfoot 45 points

Div 2

1st: Penny Holroyd 49 points
2nd: Pauline Box 48 points

Div 3

1st:  Rebecca Ellis 63 points
2nd: Sheila Sadler 62 points

9 Hole Competition:

1st Lesley Gray 32 points
2nd Mel Dickinson 28 points

Putting Competition won by Vicky Mathers.

Nearest the Line won by Vicky Johnson.

Mick Campbell, the 2022 Gents Captain at Richmond celebrated with almost 100 golfers enjoying his special day in the golfing year. Mick raised £300 for his chosen fund which is the golf club infrastructure.
