Captains Enjoy Their Great Weekend at Richmond Golf Club

Richmond (Yorks) Golf Club recently celebrated the annual Captains’ Weekend in fabulous weather.

Sue Stocks, the Lady Captain, held her golf day on Saturday 24th June with a great turn out.

Sue said: “The Ladies really enjoyed themselves, dressed for the occasion in school days’ fancy dress, ranging from colourful crayons to rebellious pupils.

“The golf was followed by a super meal provided by Penleys, our resident caterer, the prizegiving and a raffle, together with personal donations which raised £354 for my chosen charity, the Marick Priory Bursary Fund.”

Albert Nowicki, this year’s Gents Captain, celebrated with golf the next day, Sunday 25th June.

Albert said: “We were blessed with great weather and a splendid turnout. Everyone enjoyed great golf with some excellent scores.

“My raffle and other fun parts of the day raised over £300 to help support the Golf Club, which is my chosen charity.”
