Academy Course Reopens

We are pleased to inform you that the Richmond Golf Club Academy Course is now open for use.

As with the main course, RGC’s full social distancing rules apply including staying 2m away from other players outside your household groups, washing hands before play, no touching the flagpoles and using your own golf balls.

This is an excellent facility for Juniors, Members with families trying to see if their children have a liking for golf and Members testing their fitness before playing the full course. Please be careful if you are walking to the Academy course. You must walk up the road to the left hand side of the trees on the 3rd and pay particular attention for anyone playing that hole.

There is no charge to use the Academy course though if you are taking non-RGC member youngsters to try golf, perhaps giving a small donation to one of the Capts’ charities is appropriate (pop it in an envelope in the Office letterbox).

There is no booking system but just turn up and play but RGC Juniors will have priority.

This is not a practice facility, so only one ball per player and a maximum of 4 players per group spaced at 10 minute intervals (ie one group per hole).
